Margaret and Eddy Swanzy have always loved camping. While traveling around the United States researching their family history, they often joked with their children about getting their own little “tin can” trailer. Today, Margaret and Eddy are the proud owners of the canned-ham trailer they once teased about.
The couple purchased a 1963 Mobile Scout and restored it with a “Lost in the ’50s” theme. Some people suggested returning the trailer to its original appearance, but Margaret and Eddy wanted it to reflect their personalities. They are happy with the finished trailer and the way they decorated it.
Their colorful Mobile Scout has become the talk of their hometown of Springtown, Texas. Margaret and Eddy look forward to taking it camping and attending more vintage trailer rallies.
