Staying True to the Original
Peter and Mary Steinert completed the restoration of their 1956 Nash in 2012. They purchased the car from the original owners and worked hard to keep it as original as possible. The color combination remains true to the original Nash palette, and their careful attention to detail shows throughout the restoration.

From Junk Pile to Showpiece
In 2014, Peter and Mary took on a much bigger challenge—a 22-foot 1966 Kenskill trailer they found in the junk pile at RV Dr. George’s in Sacramento. The trailer was full of rot and required a complete overhaul. They replaced much of the framing, installed new interior paneling, and gave the trailer a fresh coat of paint. Peter removed each exterior panel and painted them individually in his garage-turned-paint-booth before reattaching them.

One standout feature is the matching upholstery in both the trailer and the Nash, creating a cohesive and eye-catching combo. Their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed at this year’s Trailerfest Rally. While the vibrant color draws you in, it’s the craftsmanship and finishing touches that really impress. Peter and Mary continue refining the trailer to match the high standard set by their beautiful car.
