With six kids, we spent countless nights tent camping, making memories under the stars. But as our children grew up and out, we grew older—and the appeal of sleeping on the ground faded. We weren’t ready to give up camping, though, so we started searching for a more comfortable way to continue our adventures.

Inspired by my husband’s father and his unfulfilled dream of traveling the country in a vintage trailer, we set out to find the perfect rig. That search led us online, where we stumbled upon something unexpected—a 1962 Avalair. On the outside, she still wore her vintage charm, but inside, she had been transformed into a stylish lounge. With seating for twelve, a fridge, a wine fridge, and even the ability to convert into a cozy double bed, she had everything we needed.
She was in St. Helena, California, so we hit the road to see her in person. The moment we stepped inside, we were hooked! She was the perfect blend of retro charm and modern convenience, and suddenly, we saw a bigger vision—not just a personal getaway, but a mobile event lounge. And so, Lounge a-Go-Go was born!
Outfitted with a brand-new heating and air conditioning unit, our Avalair made her grand debut in January 2014 at the Chico Bridal Show. Now, we’re excited to see where this journey takes us as she enters the next phase of her life, bringing vintage style and comfort wherever she goes.
