Lisa Young got her inspiration for this “Tramper Trailer” from Le Chabanais; one of the best known and most luxurious brothels in Paris. It was operating near the Louvre from 1878 until 1946, when brothels were outlawed in France. This is Lisa and Sebastian’s first rehabbing venture together. Sebastian has rehabbed houses in Miami FL for 13 years and relocated to California to rehab a 1964 sailboat. This is Lisa’s 9th trailer rehab (she has graced the pages of this magazine before). Lisa is a self-proclaimed California Vintage Junkie and she’ll be the first to tell you that “decorating is in my blood”.

This trailer was rescued from a yard in Ventura, CA just 6 weeks before these photographs were taken. The back wall was the side of a chicken coop and the owner was using it for storage. Lisa saw beyond the mess and while she is still not sure of year, make or model, she saw clearly what she wanted this trailer to be. The theme is taken to the extreme with a chandelier that makes a nice spot to hang a set of handcuffs. The toilet is conveniently located in a cabinet between the twin beds which is all decorated with period correct luggage, clothing and other goodies that make you feel like you stepped back in time.
