We met Patricia Helfend from Santa Clarita, CA at the Pismo Beach Rally. Her pink and polished aluminum Shasta trailer was on her maiden voyage. Patricia was able to buy the trailer from her friend’s grandmother. Originally, the trailer was the classic white and blue. Then, it was painted red and white to match a tow vehicle.

Over time, the grandmother decided she would like to have an Airstream. When grandfather told her no, she stripped the paint and had an aluminum trailer. For the past twenty years the 1957 Shasta has sat in the Mojave desert waiting for Trish to come along and breathe new life into her.
