What do you get when 250 vintage trailers roll into a beautiful RV park, and the weekend is filled with great food, live music, and a whole lot of fun? Trailerfest.

Hosted in California by Paul and Caroline Lacitinola of Vintage Camper Trailers Magazine, Trailerfest rallies have built a reputation for being something different. With so many great vintage trailer gatherings out there, what sets these apart is simple—you’ll never attend the same Trailerfest twice. Each rally brings a new theme, a new experience, and a fresh reason to come back.

At this particular event, held in Plymouth, California during the last week of September, the theme was “White Wedding: An ’80s Love Story.” And the crowd ran with it.

All weekend long, trailerites embraced the theme, showing up in full ’80s fashion—from lace and leather to big hair and neon. The energy carried through every event, starting with an ’80s-themed karaoke night hosted by Martha Kaufeld, where the soundtrack of the decade brought everyone together.

The fun continued with a pancake breakfast before the main event—a full-scale, ’80s-inspired group wedding. Participants dressed the part, creating a playful and unforgettable scene that blurred the line between rally and celebration. The ceremony rolled right into a wedding-style reception, complete with cake and a live band that kept the crowd on their feet.
With around 500 attendees joining in, the weekend captured exactly what Trailerfest is all about: creativity, community, and a willingness to have fun. It’s not just about the trailers—it’s about the experience built around them.
That’s the magic of Trailerfest. One weekend you’re stepping into an ’80s wedding, the next could be something entirely different. And that’s exactly the point.
