Some campers are more than just trailers—they’re time capsules, carrying decades of memories, adventure, and history. That’s exactly how we feel about our 1957 ALJO, a beautifully preserved piece of the past that we were lucky enough to acquire about a year and a half ago.
We purchased our ALJO from its original owner, who took incredible care of it. When not in use, it was always stored indoors, protected from the elements that have claimed so many vintage trailers over the years. This careful preservation left us with a trailer that is not only structurally sound but also rich with the spirit of adventure that defined its first owners’ travels.

Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future
One of the most special features of our ALJO is something we didn’t add ourselves—the collection of travel stickers adorning the front window. These stickers tell the story of where this little trailer has been, chronicling the road trips and adventures of its original owners. From scenic highways to national parks, this trailer has already seen so much of the country, and we love imagining the excitement they must have felt each time they hit the road.

We decided to leave the stickers right where they are, as a tribute to the journeys that came before us. They serve as both inspiration and a reminder that we are simply the next chapter in this ALJO’s story.
Falling in Love with a Time Capsule
Owning this ALJO has been like stepping back in time. From the craftsmanship of the cabinetry to the retro charm of its design, every detail captures the essence of 1950s travel culture. It’s easy to see why so many vintage trailer enthusiasts are drawn to these rolling pieces of history—there’s just something magical about them.
For us, this trailer is more than just a way to get from one place to another. It’s a connection to the past, a way to honor those who came before us while making new memories of our own. The feeling of towing it down the highway, setting up camp, and stepping inside is like blending old and new—modern adventures in a vintage home on wheels.

Our Journey Ahead
Just like its original owners, we plan to take our ALJO to as many places as possible. Whether it’s the towering mountains, scenic coastlines, or historic small towns, we can’t wait to add our own memories to this already well-traveled trailer.
Every trip we take will be another sticker that could have been placed on that window, another story that could be told by those who own it decades from now. But for now, we’re simply grateful to be the caretakers of this little time capsule, enjoying every mile and moment along the way.
