1939 Alma Shines Again in Michigan

Several years ago, Lester and Arlene Parsons of Vicksburg, Michigan purchased a 1939 ALMA and set out to bring this vintage “gem” back to its original glory. Every bit of the restoration was done by their own hands, making the project both a labor of love and a true preservation of history.

As longtime members of Tin Can Tourists (14 years strong!), the couple proudly showcased their ALMA at the Spring TCT Rally in Milford, Michigan, where it earned an award in the Concourse.

During their research at the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, Indiana, they discovered something fascinating: while the trailer is titled as a 1939, its body style was actually leftover from 1938. A unique detail that makes their ALMA all the more special.

The restoration included refinishing the body with new leatherette, returning it to its original, classic look. Today, this 1939 ALMA stands as both a showpiece and a symbol of the Parsons’ dedication to vintage trailering.
