Vintage Tow Duo from North of the Border

The car is a 1957 Meteor Rideau four door sedan (Meteor was a “Canada only” brand of Ford’s and the Rideau model was the equivalent of the Fairlane). 292 ci Y-Block V8, Cruise-o-Matic Transmission.

The only modifications made for towing is a hidden hitch assembly (can’t be seen when not attached) and Monroe Air adjustable rear shock absorbers (to handle the added weight and level the car when towing).

The trailer is a 1961 Shasta Astrodome. All original (including the Swirl-o-Matic toilet) other than new paint, upholstery and modern roof vents
