Our First Rally in Canyonville, Oregon

This year, we hosted our very first Father’s Day Rally in Canyonville, Oregon—and it was a hit! The setting was beautiful, and since Flag Day landed on the same weekend, our “America” theme was front and center. Red, white, and blue decorations, patriotic outfits, and festive campers made the whole place shine with star-spangled spirit.

But more than anything, the rally was about connecting with people.

We kicked things off Thursday night with a potluck dinner featuring “Dad’s Favorite BBQ.” The tables were loaded with smoky, delicious dishes, and everyone came hungry and ready to meet new friends.

Food was a big part of the weekend fun. We shared a hot dog lunch, a classic ice cream social, and a hearty pancake breakfast. These relaxed meals gave everyone time to chat, swap trailer tips, and trade travel stories.

One of the weekend highlights was the Pinewood Derby. Campers of all ages brought their creative little cars to race. The final showdown came down to a father-son race, and after a photo finish, Brody (Tim’s son) took the win! Trophies were handed out, and the crowd made it a celebration to remember.

Evenings brought more fun with a glowing Lantern Walk through the campground and Flamingo Bingo—which handed out nearly $1,500 in prizes and a whole lot of laughs!

Of course, the best part of the weekend was the friendships made. Vintage trailer rallies are about more than just cool rigs—they’re about the people. Whether you’re looking for hard-to-find parts, wanting to buy or sell a trailer, or just love swapping stories, rallies like this are the perfect place to connect.

If you’ve never been to a rally, or if you have but haven’t gotten involved, we encourage you to jump in! You don’t have to run the whole thing—helping with a craft, social, or workshop can make a big difference and make the rally even more fun.

If you missed this one, don’t worry—next year’s rally is set for the last weekend in July. Get on the waiting list and come join the fun!
