The charming riverside town of Brownsville, Oregon, came alive this summer for the annual Rally on the River — a celebration of vintage trailers, small-town hospitality, and good old-fashioned fun. Known for its friendly atmosphere and family-focused activities, the rally welcomed campers from across the country to enjoy a weekend of community, nostalgia, and plenty of laughter.

One of the rally’s biggest highlights this year was the impressive turnout of Spartan trailers. About 14 gleaming examples of this iconic post-war brand lined the park, drawing admirers and sparking conversations about their craftsmanship, history, and enduring appeal. Spartan owners traveled from far and wide, making this gathering a rare treat for vintage trailer enthusiasts.

The weekend offered something for everyone, especially the younger crowd. From bowling and pie-eating contests to gooey s’mores around the campfire, kids had no shortage of entertainment. Adults joined in on the fun with a hearty pancake breakfast, classic summer fare like hot dogs and watermelon, and a lively potluck chili cook-off that filled the park with mouthwatering aromas.

Rally on the River has quickly earned a reputation for its welcoming atmosphere, making it a favorite stop on the vintage trailer circuit. That popularity is only expected to grow — organizers are already planning for over 125 trailers to roll into Brownsville for next year’s event, set for July 15-19, 2026.

Spartan enthusiasts have even more to look forward to in 2026. The Spartan Reunion Rally will make its return to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where it all began. From October 7–11, 2026, the Tulsa Air and Space Museum will host a special gathering dedicated to these iconic trailers, promising another unforgettable celebration of history, design, and camaraderie.
