The campground sits just miles from the famous Four Corners Monument, where the boundaries of all four states meet—making it a fitting backdrop for a truly regional rally.
The camp-out blends vintage trailer camaraderie with the chance to explore one of the most historically rich and scenic areas in the Southwest. The event traditionally kicks off with a meet-and-greet, where organizers Mark and Marsha Camrud of Farmington, New Mexico welcome participants and outline the weekend’s activities. From there, attendees are free to enjoy everything the area has to offer, including ancient ruins, historic sites, and abundant outdoor recreation.
A highlight of the gathering is the community-focused schedule. One morning typically begins with a pancake breakfast in the campground pavilion, followed by an open house that allows visitors to tour the trailers and swap restoration stories and camping tips. Evenings bring everyone together for a potluck dinner and relaxed conversation around the campfire. When local fire restrictions are in place, a propane fire pit keeps the tradition alive. Camp hosts Matt and Wendy Eytchison add to the hospitality by providing fresh coffee each morning.
The rally showcases an impressive variety of vintage campers. Past gatherings have featured multiple Boles Aero, Streamline, and Silver Streak trailers, along with teardrops, a unique Six Pack camper mounted on a trailer, and classic models from Shasta and Holiday. The diversity of rigs reflects both the creativity and passion of the vintage trailer community.
What began as a small, first-year gathering has grown quickly, with attendance more than tripling by the second camp-out. The organizers hope to continue that momentum, with the long-term goal of filling all 50 sites at The Views campground—creating a signature vintage trailer event for the Four Corners region and beyond.
