Taking a break from building award-winning motorcycles, Jimmy Evans turned his attention to restoring a 1956 Zenith. As often happens with vintage projects, the build turned into a much bigger undertaking than originally anticipated. Ultimately, Jimmy took the trailer down to its bones and rebuilt it with shear plywood walls—a method he had previously used when building a Shasta for Cheryl. They both appreciate the added insulation and sound-deadening benefits this construction provides.

Jimmy added several custom touches, including hinged fender-well covers for easy tire access. New halogen tail lights and his custom paint job give the trailer a fresh sparkle.

Inside, the trailer maintains its original floor plan, including a freestanding Dixie stove and a Marvel refrigerator, which was professionally refinished inside and out. Modern upgrades include a new water heater, flat-screen TV, and a fully functioning bathroom.
