A Spartan Mansion With Hollywood Style

What started as a family getaway in upstate New York has been transformed into a showstopping 1951 Spartan Mansion. After years of making memories, the trailer was ready for a full restoration—and what a journey it’s had.

To prepare it for the cross-country trip, Colin Hyde in New York outfitted the Spartan with new axles, wheels, and tires. From there, owner Baldomero Fernandez drove it all the way to San Diego, where Denny Stone and the crew at So-Cal Vintage Trailer gave it a complete renovation. Now based in Los Angeles, the Spartan is living a glamorous second life as a mobile photo shoot location, green room, and makeup lounge. It’s already hosted models, talent, and even a celebrity or two.
