When this vintage 1968 Prowler trailer was purchased, it initially seemed to be in decent condition. However, upon closer inspection, significant structural issues were uncovered. The framing had rot, and shockingly, not a single hold-down bolt was securing the box to the chassis. The only two bolts holding it in place had been drilled through the diamond plate in the doorway—an unstable and unsafe setup. Faced with these issues, the decision was made to completely rebuild the trailer from the ground up.

Originally designed as a Park Model, the trailer was converted into a dry camping coach by adding the necessary holding tanks and plumbing. The full rebuild provided an opportunity to modernize the interior, incorporating conveniences such as a TV, microwave, air conditioning, additional electrical outlets, and improved lighting.
The restoration process became more than just a project—it was a form of therapy. Now, the fully restored Prowler is back on the road, offering new camping experiences. The owner and his wife, who had never trailer camped before, are now enjoying adventures together, making the most of their revamped vintage trailer.
